Thank you to everyone who entered this contest. I am very pleased that I received a lot of entries, and because of that I am already planning for another contest in October (details will come later). Remember to book a session by August 31st to receive your free session and 8x10 (or free session and collection of prints if you're one of the winners with the most votes next week). Please take a moment to vote for your favorite entry in each category. You have until July 7th to vote, so email a link to all of your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to have them participate in the voting as well!

The way this works is pretty self-explanatory, but since this is the first contest on my blog, I'll explain. Each age group has it's own post (3 age groups, 3 posts). The photographs each have a large white or black number (depending on what could be seen the best) in the top left or right corner. Below the last photograph for each age group there is a poll, click on the button next to the number photograph you wish to vote for, and you will be able to see how your vote counts in the current results.

Keep those contest entries coming! I have received several entries so far, and will continue to accept entries on Sunday. It was brought to my attention that there aren't many entries for the 11-17 age group possibly because people don't photograph their children as often at that age, so I wanted to get it out there that if you know a high school student that will be a senior in the fall, then urge them to send in an entry, and their free 8x10 for entering or free package if they win can be used for a senior portrait session. I plan to offer other incentives to high school seniors later this summer that can also be combined with the contest freebies, so it's worth it!

Submit your contest entry!

I only have a few entries so far, but you still have through Saturday to submit your picture. I do not have any entries for the 11-17 category. Remember, everyone who enters receives a free 8x10 if they book a session by August 31st, even though the session date can be for after August 31st. I'm still in the portfolio building stage so I'd love to take pictures of your little ones (or big ones), and you get a free picture for giving me your time and 50% off all prices if you place an order! If you submit your picture you will not only get the free 8x10 for entering the contest, but if you also sign a minor model release form at the session you can choose another free 8x10 or (2) 5x7's. Send me a referral after your session and receive another free 8x10 on your next session. Get those entries in!

To enter, simply send 1 photo of your son/daughter between the ages of 2 weeks and 17 years to christi@christisullivanphotography.com by Saturday, June 28th. A simple, recent snapshot will do. Please do not send in professional photos. All entrants should live in one of the areas served listed to the right, or be willing to travel to King George for the session (or one of the areas if an outdoor shoot is requested).

The contest will consist of 3 categories/age groups: 2 weeks-2 years, 3-10 years, and 11-17 years. The winner of each category will receive a session and the Basic Collection of pictures for free. All entrants will receive a free session and a free 8x10 if they book a session by August 31st (the session just has to be booked by August 31st, but can be scheduled for anytime after that). No one will be obligated to purchase more pictures.

I will post all photos by category here on my blog on June 30th. Send all of your family and friends here to vote for your entry between June 30th and July 7th. The winners will be announced here and notified by email on July 8th.

12 Months Old

I just wanted to share my son's 12 month pictures. His emotions were all over the place that morning, and I like to capture a lot of personality so it turned out well!

Sneak Peek: 8 Month Old Baby Girl

This baby girl smiles when you simply talk to her and claps for absolutely everything! She definitely has a very outgoing personality even at 8 months old. I know her mommy and grandma are eager to see these pictures, so I'm posting a few until the proofs are ready!

Talking Interests Leads to Smiles and Laughter

I was told that this boy never smiles for pictures, but once we started talking about his interests he loosened up a little. I think it's pretty typical at this age to not smile for pictures, which can also make for nice pictures when you're going for a more serious look, but his family was thrilled about these pictures full of smiles!

It's so fun to watch siblings interact together and laugh with each other. I bet these boys have a lot of fun together!

Teenage girl

This teenage girl was very sweet and polite, a little shy in front of the camera, but smiling nonetheless. I always thought babies would be so much fun and that teenagers or older children would be difficult, but they are actually a lot of fun as well. I've opened up a Seniors gallery on my site, which for now is empty, because I would love to do high school senior sessions.

A free session means you don't have anything to lose but an hour or so of your time, so give me a call or email me anytime this summer (or whenever you would like your senior session). Also, just like with any other sessions, I will give you, free of charge, 1-8x10 or 2-5x7's in the image of your choice when a Model Release form is signed. One more thing, for every new client that mentions your name after your session, you will receive a free 8x10 from your next session. So, if after your session, 5 new clients come to me mentioning that you referred them, then you will receive 5 free 8x10's at your next session!
