Photo Favorites of 2008

I want to thank all of my clients for a wonderful 2008! I did my first "stranger" session in May, and over the last 7 months have gotten to know many wonderful families. Since 2008 is coming to an end I decided to compile a few of my favorites from every session (those that signed release forms), including some favorites of my own 2 little ones, to make a slideshow. I hope you enjoy the slideshow, which I will warn you is rather long and the song starts over several times (hint: you can click your mouse on the pictures to move along to the next picture), but I just couldn't narrow it down any further (believe me, I took some out in the process trying to shorten the slideshow), but your families are all so beautiful and I just love these shots! Have a Happy New Year, and I hope to have a session with you in 2009!

We had a wonderful Christmas here, and still celebrating with the kids and playing with their new toys while we're both taking some time off until after New Year's. I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd post shots of our two Christmas trees. I hope that you and your family are enjoying the holiday season as well!

The tree in the living room is the smaller tree that the kids are allowed to decorate themselves (though Camden is still young to help do anything except remove ornaments, and he does this well), and it has white lights because the outside of the house is decorated in all white lights. However, Mykenzi has told us this year that she she prefers color lights, which we never knew before.

My Son's 18 Month Photos

Whew! Now that I'm finished with all of your sessions, except placing orders, I decided to tackle the task of my son's 18 month photos. What a job!! I haven't done his pictures since he turned 12 months, and it was much, much easier then. He's at that difficult age, combined with the fact that he was really ready for a nap when we finally went down to do these. I know, bad timing, but we realized the Santa parade in Colonial Beach started at 1:00, it was 10:00 at the time, so we gave them both a quick bath, and he seemed to be in a great mood so we thought, why not? It worked long enough to get a few great shots for his 18 month photos, but then I decided to push it and do their Christmas photos. That's when he got angry, and I got a seriously angry shot when I tried to put them together, after we got them both dressed! That turned into a session mainly of Mykenzi, which I think turned out well (I'll post those when they are ready), so we'll be going back down one evening or next weekend to try again! Anyway, enjoy my favorites from today!

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek of my last session of the year! I photographed this family a few months ago at a beautiful pond when the little girl won her age group in my first contest. This time we stayed inside for Christmas photos.
