There is a nasty virus going around the area, and my husband brought it home to us last week. Three days later my son had it, two days later my daughter had it, and yesterday I had it. I'm trying to take it easy today as we have a busy evening ahead carving pumpkins, then the preschool Halloween party tomorrow plus trick-or-treating in the evening, and I have 3 sessions this weekend. So, I'm a little behind on responding to emails, but be patient with me, and I'll get to everyone soon! Just trying to recover, so that I can enjoy Halloween with my little Mickey and Minnie Mouse and do one last round of major disinfecting from top to bottom in this house (I've been doing that since my husband got sick to prevent it spreading, and each time the kids got sick, but it still found us all anyway).

New Backdrops
For families I have white, black, green, red, and the Christmas scenic backdrop as well as a few multi-color muslins. I have a gray, yellow, light purple, pink, and light blue that are smaller and hold about 3 people. I'm always looking for new colors, so what color backdrops would you like? Leave a comment, please. Halloween Costumes
I decided to do some studio shots of my kids in their Halloween costumes. Camden absolutely loves Mickey Mouse, and we think it's cool that Mykenzi chose Minnie Mouse. Our own little Mickey and Minnie!

Just some snapshots of my kids...
I realized I haven't posted any pictures of my kids since I started this blog several months ago, so I thought I'd post these snapshots of them at the pumpkin patch from earlier this week when my daughter's preschool class went to the Westmoreland Berry Farm. It's also the reason I prefer to shoot closer to the evenings (although at this time of year we seem to have nothing but cloudy/party cloudy days, and it's making it diffcult) and not in full sun.
See the sticker there on top of his hood. We all had to wear stickers so that the Berry Farm staff knew which group we were as they shuffled us to different stations/activities, and he really does not like stickers so we put it on his hood so that he wouldn't know it was there.

He would pick up a pumpkin, moan, groan, and grunt like it was way too big for him, which I think he exaggerates, walk over to another pumpkin, set it down, and do it all over again. It was like he couldn't decide which one he wanted because there were so many!

Sneak Peek

This little guy is so lucky to have such a great big brother and big sister. They were really helpful with him, and got along great with each other! I hope they get along as well at home as they did during the session.

Sneak Peek
I had an outdoor session this weekend with a family that was here over the summer after their little girl won my first blog contest, and wow, she's grown in the last 3 months! Changes
Starting October 25th, all sessions booked will be subject to full price prints and products. Starting January 1st, I will be charging a $35 session fee for studio sessions and $50 for on location/outdoor sessions due at the start of the session. Session fees are to cover my time and talent. Please remember that I do not spend the one and only hour on you at your session. There is an additional 6 to 10 hours (depending on the size of the group, number of poses during session, etc.) spent loading images onto my computer, saving images to my external hard drive, burning a DVD (this is to archive your session for the possibility of placing orders in the future, don't forget the cost of this DVD and external hard drive), proofing the sessions, uploading them to my site, preparing images for the order, placing the order, sorting/organizing the order, shipping the order to you (don't forget the cost of my shipping materials), and answering emails. Plus I also have to pay taxes.
There are two exceptions to these changes, maternity and newborn (up to 4 weeks of age) sessions will still be free (no session fees) and print prices will be reduced 25%.
The price reduction has been my portfolio building discount, which is now ending because I have plenty of images for my portfolio (with the exception of maternity and newborn images). I want to thank all of my past clients, those who have been back for more sessions, and those who already have sessions booked. I know that many of you have referred me to several others, and I truly appreciate that. If someone referred you to me, please be sure to mention their name so that they will receive a $10 credit, and also be sure to tell others so that you can take advantage of that extra discount.

Sneak Peek
Another fun and gorgeous family! We headed out to the lake for some pictures, where the family often spends time wading in the water and feeding the ducks. This little boy was quite entertaining as well! He kept us laughing the whole time! I hope this family enjoys their sneak peek.
